The Oracle GoldenGate 12c Fundamentals Course covers the infrastructure and architecture of Oracle’s GoldenGate software. We look at the source and target databases as related to replication and migration. In the class students will obtain the skill set required to design, deploy, install, and configure Oracle GoldenGate 12.2 software. Students will learn “best practices” for managing GoldenGate in multiple scenarios. The course focuses on real-world deployment issues including data security, performance tuning, debugging, trouble-shooting, and removal of GoldenGate software from the environment.
This class can be customized for GoldenGate 12c between Oracle databases (single or multiple versions) or between Microsoft SQL Server and an Oracle database in version 10g, 11g or 12c.
The Oracle GoldenGate 12c Advanced Course builds on the foundation laid down in the GoldenGate 12c Fundamentals Course continuing to teach “best practices” while focusing on advanced skills for troubleshooting, performance tuning, and replication error handling. Students will face real-world issues, troubleshoot them, and resolve them in hands-on labs so that they have the skills necessary to do so in their own production environment.
This class can be customized, at the customer’s request, for Oracle GoldenGate 12.2 data integration between Oracle databases (single or multiple versions) or between Microsoft SQL Server and an Oracle database in version 10g, 11g or 12c. Students will learn the tools and techniques they need to master so that they can provide the security, stability, and scalability your replication, upgrade, and migration projects require.
Our Oracle Database 12c training was specifically designed for organizations that will be upgrading or migrating to 12c. Our training will help IT professionals effectively plan and implement the new Oracle Database 12c in their environment. We will examine issues in preparing to move to 12c as well as troubleshooting issues that may occur during the move in our state-of-the-art training lab through interactive, hands-on exercises.
Oracle Database 12c is forcing organizations to reevaluate many aspects of how to minimize risk and be successful in the upgrade, migration or implementation of this new architecture. For example, if the organization plans to use the new multi-tenant architecture then their existing servers and network infrastructure may need to be upgraded as well as Cron jobs may require a rewrite. We’ll examine the “best practice” for enhanced performance and security. We will review these and many other architecture planning and implementation steps during this class.
This course was written and developed by one of Performance Tuning Corporation’s Oracle ACE Director who was one of Oracle’s 12c Beta testers. The focus of this course is on the changes that are mandatory, rather than the many optional changes in the database. Real world training focused on the core skills required to move your organization forward and to recruit and retain a professional staff that will keep your business “in business.”
