In order to run Oracle Enterprise Manager DB Control or OEM Cloud Control 12c it is necessary to be able to run Adobe Flash within your FireFox browser on your Linux system. This is not as easy as it might seem at first. In order to install the Adobe Flash player on OEL 6.4 follow these steps.
- Yum install firefox. This is done via yum install firefox.
- Download the Adobe flash player from the Adobe website. Do not let it try to install automatically.
- Install the Adobe flash plugin using Yum. Yum should be configured on your system. The Adobe flash player is identified by the following rpm.
# yum install flash-plugin-22.214.171.1247-release.x86_64.rpm
Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit, security
