Oracle Database 11g: New Features for Administrators

Overview

This course provides students an opportunity to learn about key enhancements in Oracle Database 11g R1. Students will examine the benefits and use of features in managing change, diagnosing and resolving problems, improving scalability and performance, strengthening security, and several other areas covering database administration. In addition, hands-on lab exercises will be used to reinforce key concepts and capabilities.

After completing this class, the student will have acquired the necessary skills to plan, deploy, and administer Oracle 11g databases. This class will cover the architecture of Oracle 11g database, administration, and how to best utilize some of the new features in Oracle 11g. Below are a few of the topics covered:

Prerequisites
