Oracle TimesTen 7.0
Overview
In this four day class, students gain a hands-on understanding of the Oracle TimesTen database architecture and how its components work and interact with one another. This knowledge provides students with the background they need to plan, install, configure and tune a TimesTen database. This course will provide students with the basic knowledge to proplery plan, install, configure, tune and replicate TimesTen databases.
Course Objectives
This course provides students with a working knowledge of the Oracle TimesTen 7.0.5 IMDB architecture. Students will learn how to install and administer a TimesTen data store, create an operational data store and properly manage the various elements including user and privilege management and connection configuration modes. Students will learn how to tune the database system and gain an understanding of the different types of replication topologies, schemes and their application scenarios. Students will also learn the different types of operations performed on cache groups to keep the TimesTen data store and Oracle database synchronized. The course also includes Industry “best practices” used in implementing, managing and optimizing Oracle VM across an enterprise environment. Lab work is performed on remote systems running 64-bit Oracle Enterprise Linux and Oracle Database 11g R2.
