Barry Hutt, President, Senior Consultant

Barry Hutt has over 20 years of experience leading organizations and driving solutions for such prestigious technology companies as IBM, Dell, and VERITAS software. His experience includes various businesses spanning from start-ups to large Fortune 100 companies holding numerous roles such as consulting, business development, sales, software and hardware development. His deep knowledge of enterprise technologies allows him to focus on getting the most out of technology by turning existing IT infrastructure into valuable business assets for his customers.

Barry is a Virtualization expert. Having worked for a startup in the VDI space (VDIworks) he developed a deep knowledge of many of the competitive industry offerings including: VMware View4, Parallels, Quest, Citrix, and Microsoft. He recently attended in-depth VCP certification training for VMware. Accomplishments include closing and implementing one of the largest VDI rollouts in Texas 5300 seats.

 Edward Whalen, CTO, Sr. Advisor/Consultant, Instructor, Author

Edward Whalen is the founder and Chief Technology Officer of Performance Tuning Corporation. Prior to founding Performance Tuning Corporation, Ed worked for Compaq Computer Corporation as an OS Developer and Database Performance Engineer. His experience and ongoing role includes consulting on complex projects, developing and instructing training courses, writing books and technical papers on various Oracle and Microsoft technologies, and speaking at technical events. He has published 10 books covering Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle technologies, with his most recent work "Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Administrator’s Companion," and "Oracle Database 10g Linux Administration". Ed is recognized as a leader in database system design and performance optimization, providing critical advice and support to companies worldwide. Marci Garcia, Director of Consulting and Training Operations

Marci Garcia is the Director of Consulting and Training, managing partner and client relations, project logistics and operations. She worked as a consultant in the field of database performance tuning for over 11 years, and has been in management for over 4 years. Prior to Performance Tuning Corporation, Marci was a Database Performance Engineer for Compaq Computer Corporation, specializing in database technologies and high-performance server and storage systems. She has extensive experience with system architecture, performance analysis, database tuning, troubleshooting, storage area networks, database benchmarks, and technical writing. She has co-authored five technical books on Microsoft SQL Server, available from Microsoft Press.
